Hitchhikers

Although I wasn’t a particular fan of The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, it has made a lot of people laugh; and think…

So Philosophy & The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy was always likely to be a promising combination.

And so it is. It’s worth the cover price alone for ‘The Answer to the Ultimate Question’ in a single simple diagram (with my thumb) here:

There is also a terrific chapter by Amy Kind: on the absurdity of our tiny and brief lives, in an unimaginably vast and timeless universe.

And the answer..? Not 42 I fancy. More like finding our own purpose, in the right form of ‘relevant complexity’ – but then I would say that.
